ACERO Apartments for Assyrians in Need

Hope will soon be renewed for Assyrian families that have lost their homes in Iraq, with new accommodation nearing completion thanks to the Assyrian Church of the East Relief Organization (ACERO).

Final touches are being added to the new apartment block in Dohuk, Iraq, funded by ACERO for Assyrians in need.

ACERO provides assistance to Christian refugees and other Assyrians that need aid in the form of shelter, food and supplies.

ACERO committee representative, Andy Darmoo, said the organization has further supported the community used Assyrian construction companies and labor as much as possible.

“The builder, Odisho David, and his staff are some of the most loyal people to our Church – he is doing a great job for ACERO,” said Mr Darmoo.

The apartments are for those families who have lost their homes due to the ongoing problems in Iraq, and have left Baghdad and the country’s south in search of refuge.
