The St. George Parish of the Assyrian Church of the East in Damascus, Syria has met with His Beatitude Gregory III Laham, Patriarch of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church.
Parish priest, Rev. Toma Asitivo Kaka, as well as church deacons, committee members and faithful, were present at a Eucharistic Liturgy consecrated by the Patriarch on 11 December 2011.
The visit of the Patriarch to the Ibrahim Al-Khalil Monastery in Jaramana coincided with the Feast of the Monastery’s namesake.
