St. George Church of the Assyrian Church of the East in Damascus, Syria is organising summer courses and activities for the benefit of its younger parishioners.

The summer courses and activities include the teaching of the Assyrian language and Christian education.

Reverend Thomas Estepho Kaka, parish priest of St. George Church, met with the organising sub-committee, as well as the parents of the young participants on Wednesday 27 July 2011, in the Monastery of Ibrahim Al-Khalil in Jaramana, Damascus.

During the meeting, participants discussed a number of points concerning the students, their education and the importance of communication between the church and its faithful. In particular, participants discussed methods to provide effective and appropriate Christian formation to young faithful of the Holy Church.
