H.G Mar Odisho Oraham visits St Kuryakos’ Parish, Sweden

His Grace Mar Odisho Oraham, Bishop of Europe, has stressed the importance of youth members to the Assyrian Church of the East during his visit to St Kuryakos’ Church in Norrköping, Sweden.

Arriving on the 8th of October, His Grace observed the state of the parish and fellowshipped with the faithful parishioners, including meeting and conversing with the youth association of the parish.

The following day, His Grace offered the Holy Eucharist in St Kuryakos’ Church, which was followed by fellowship in the church hall with the heads and leaders of different associations and groups of the Swedish parishes.

Important issues were raised during fellowship, including parish bible studies and preaching; the role and importance of youth members in the church and community; and essential needs of other groups and associations for the glory and improvement of the church in Europe.

His Grace’s visit to St Kuryakos’ Church was timed ahead of his trip to the city of Khovdi on the 16th of October, where the Holy Eucharist was offered and the 34th Anniversary of the consecration of His Holiness Mar Dinkha IV was celebrated.

His Grace is next due in the city of Uptobure where a three-day meeting will take place with all priests of the Diocese of Europe from the 19th of October.

The meeting will aim to discuss the development of the parishes for the improvement of the Diocese, in both ecclesiastical and administrative areas.
