The 14th Holy Synod of the pontificate of His Holiness Mar Dinkha IV, Catholicos-Patriarch of the Assyrian Church of the East, was convened in Chicago from Friday, May 25th to Friday, June 1st 2012.

Leaders of a coalition of Assyrian political organizations have paid a courtesy visit to His Grace Mar Awa Royel, Bishop of California and Secretary of the Holy Synod, in Modesto, California.

On Saturday, June 2nd 2011, His Grace Mar Awa Royel was received by His Eminence Mor Clemis Eugene Kaplan and His Eminence Mor Cyril Afram Karim of the Syrian Orthodox Church in the USA.

On Monday, May 2, 2011 His Grace Mar Awa Royel, Bishop of California and Secretary of the Holy Synod was received in audience by His All Holiness Bartholomew I, Archbishop of Constantinople and Ecumenical Patriarch.

The Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church of the East ? A Short History has been published by Mar Timotheus Metropolitan Memorial Fellowship, Thrissur, India, in honor of and in commemoration of the third pastoral visit of His Holiness Mar Dinkha IV to the Church of the East in India.
