MNAC Students Make it a Happy Father’s Day

Students, teachers and staff of Mar Narsai Assyrian College (MNAC), Sydney, celebrated Father’s Day by visiting retired fathers that currently reside at the Assyrian Church of the East’s retirement village.

The students’ aim was not only to wish a ‘Happy Father’s Day’, but to acknowledge the fathers’ dedications and efforts in raising their families, and growing and nurturing the future generation of our Assyrian community.

The visit was opened up by a prayer from Rev. Kiwarkis Atto, parish priest of St. Mary Parish, which is located on the same estate as the retirement village.

Rev. Kiwarkis expressed his joy and happiness at welcoming the students’ gesture on the memorable day.

Students showed their respect for the fathers by means of speeches and presentations.

Afterwards, gifts were distributed to the fathers by all the students, which put smiles on the faces of the fathers.

The students displayed a strong message in their actions towards the fathers – a slogan of giving without taking.
