Arizona Parish Blessed with New Deacons

Two faithful men of St Yosip Khnanisho Parish in Chandler, Arizona have been elevated to the ranking of deacon.

The ordination of deacons Youkhana Aprim Benyamin and Domara Akhajan Jendo was especially needed, seeing as the young parish does not have a permanent building of its own for worship.

Both clergymen were described as being very active and faithful members of the parish throughout the years.

The ceremony was conducted by His Grace Mar Aprim Khamis, Bishop of Western America, who visited the parish from Phoenix, Arizona.

Other clergy were also present at the ceremony including Rev. Archdeacon Fredrick Hermiz; Rev. Khoshaba Shlemon, parish priest of St Yosip Khnanisho and other deacons from the parish and surrounding parishes.

Fundraisers have been held throughout the years in the hope of raising funds to build a church under the patron saint’s name, Mar Yosip Khnanisho.
