Stockholm's Christian Assyrian community has remembered the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with celebrations in the lead up to Christmas, preceded over by His Grace Mar Odisho Oraham, Bishop of Europe.

H.G Mar Odisho Oraham has laid his blessed right hand on Deacon Alan Odisho and raised him to the ranking of priesthood, allowing him to serve in St Steven’s Church in Khovdi, Sweden.

The martyrs of last month's massacre at Our Lady of Deliverance Syriac Catholic Church, Baghdad, have been remembered during Holy Mass led by His Beatitude Mar Gewargis Sliwa while visiting Sweden.

On the 8th of October 2010, His Grace Mar Odisho Oraham bishop of Europe visits St Kuryakos’ Parish in Norrkoping, Sweden.

On the 28th of September 2010, the Annual Swedish Churches Meeting took place in Sweden where present was His Grace Mar Odisho Oraham.

St. Mary’s parish of London were blessed by the patriarchal visit from the Assyrian Church of the East Catholicos Patriarch, Mar Dinkha IV, from 22nd to 26th September 2010

His Grace Mar Awa Royel, Bishop of the Assyrian Church of the East for the Diocese of California (USA), attended the ‘Second Symposium Syriacum’ in Vienna, held under the patronage of the Pro Oriente Foundation, from November 4 to 6, 2009. Accompanying His Grace, was Cor-bishop Auchana Kanoun, priest of Mar Gewargis Parish, Ceres, California. With its studies in the Syriac tradition, the PRO-ORIENTE FOUNDATION of Vienna, Austria, intended to facilitate mutual understanding and exchange as well as to promote the common heritage of the various churches belonging to the historical Syriac Tradition. In continuation of its former “Syriac Dialogue” (1994-2005), the PRO-ORIENTE, fourth Forum Syriacum was held in Vienna from November 2-7, 2009. Under the auspices of the Forum Syriacum, the “Second Symposium Syriacum” was held at the Palottihaus, Vienna. The theme this year dealt with the contributions of Syriac Christianity in the Middle East and India, and the challenges it faces in the same areas. Members of St. Mar Benyamin Shimun the Martyr Parish in Holland recently welcomed, with joy, faith and love,  His Grace Mar Odisho Oraham, Bishop of the Assyrian Church of the East, Diocese of Europe on 30th of January, 2009. His Grace was received at Amsterdam Airport by Reverend Stephan Yalda and the Parish committee members. On the following day, the Eucharistic Liturgy was consecrated by His Grace Mar Odisho Oraham during which he announced the appointment of Reverend Stephan Yalda as the official Parish Priest of St. Mar Benyamin Shimun the Martyr Parish in Holland. His Grace also discussed recent developments in the Church as well as planned spiritual activities for the Glory of our Lord. The Eucharistic Liturgy was attended by a large number of faithful members of our church in Holland. On the same day His Grace departed Holland and went to London accompanied by Reverend Stephan Yalda. His Grace and Reverend Stephan were received by Reverend Archdeacon Younan Youel and the committee members of St Mary Church.
