His Holiness Mar Dinkha IV Catholicos Patriarch of the Assyrian Church of the East, currently on a patriarchal visit to the Diocese of Canada, has been welcomed by parishioners in the state of Windsor.
While in Windsor, His Holiness offered the Holy Eucharist to the beloved parishioners of St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
His Grace Mar Emmanuel Joseph, Bishop of Canada, accompanied His Holiness on this sojourn, along with Rev. Benjamin Benjamin, parish priest of St. Thomas Church, Rev. Gewargis and Rev. Joseph Peera, parish priest of St. Shimun Bar-Sabai Church in Flint, Michigan.
At the conclusion of the Holy Offering. His Holiness, along with His Grace, priests and deacons shared in a ceremonial breakfast in the Church hall with present faithful.
His Holiness gave the keynote address, which was followed by the church choir performing hymns.
Rev. Benjamin gave a warm welcoming speech, and presented His Holiness with a gift as a sign of appreciation on behalf of all the deacons, committees and parishioners of Windsor.
His Holiness will further continue his sojourn to London and Ontario where he will meet the faithful of the church across their parishes.
